Notting Hill packs a lot into a small patch, and access is the whole game here. The white stucco terraces around Ladbroke Grove and Kensington Park Road hide tall, narrow staircases; the mews behind them are cobbled and barely a van wide; and the flats above the shops on Portobello Road and Westbourne Grove turn over quickly. The Notting Hill Carnival over the August bank holiday closes many roads for days, so anything around that weekend needs planning, and we are happy to work around it.
