1. The short version
Capital Waste Management Ltd does not set any cookies on cwmltd.uk. We don't use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other tracking, advertising or behavioural-profiling tool. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
2. What happens when you load a page
When your browser opens a page on cwmltd.uk it makes a small number of requests:
- To our server — for the HTML, our stylesheet (
/assets/theme.css), our script (/assets/theme.js), and the images on the page. Standard webserver logs record the IP address, request time, the URL requested, response status and user-agent. We keep these logs for a short period for security and debugging only. - To Google's font CDN at
fonts.googleapis.comandfonts.gstatic.com— to download the three typefaces this site uses (Bricolage Grotesque, Manrope, Instrument Serif). That request will send Google your IP address and basic request headers. Google's own privacy policy applies to that traffic.
The website's interactive features — the sticky navigation, the FAQ accordion, the services tab switcher, and the contact-form wizard — all run locally in your browser. They don't send data anywhere.
3. The quote form
The form on the contact page only sends data when you press Send my request. What it sends, where it goes, and how we use it is covered in our Privacy Policy. It does not store anything in cookies.
4. If you'd prefer to block Google Fonts
If you'd rather your browser didn't fetch fonts from Google's CDN, you can:
- use a browser extension that blocks third-party requests (e.g. uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger);
- configure your browser's tracking-protection settings to block
fonts.googleapis.com; - browse with JavaScript disabled — the site is fully readable without it, though some interactions won't work.
The site will still work fine; only the typography will fall back to your browser's default sans-serif.
5. Changes
If we ever start using cookies — for example, to remember a setting or to measure anonymous traffic — we will update this page, add a clear notice, and obtain consent where the law requires it.
6. Questions
If you have a question about how we handle data, write to enquiries@cwmltd.uk or read the full Privacy Policy.
